I got home sick and thought I'd give a go at drawing something I remember from back home. The Lily of the Nile is a plant I will always associate with my youth. It has always made me nostalgic, reminding me of more innocent times. The illustration didn't quite turn out how I hoped...but it more than served it's purpose to help calm and center me. I struggle with meditating in the traditional sense....but I relax and meditation comes so easily as I draw.
